You can email, text or call. We can answer any questions and get you booked in! You can find us behind the post office up the concrete steps with parking available!
On arrival you will be greeted in the waiting area and given a consent form to sign. On your first visit you may be asked to dress down to your underwear if you're comfortable, gowns will be provided but any loose clothing will do, such as shorts, leggings or vest tops.
The initial consultation would usually last up to 1 hour. Here your Osteopath will carry out a case history, recording your details, the complaint and any medical/family history. It would be helpful if you could bring along any information (X-ray/MRI reports, list of medication you take).
The examination involves you performing a range of tasks/movements guided by your Osteopath. Then based on the consultation and the examination findings a diagnosis will be formulated. Here the Osteopath will discuss all their findings with you.
If appropriate your Osteopath will go ahead with treatment. They will explain how treatment can help, give you a guide on how many sessions it may take or if you would benefit from occasional treatment. If Osteopathy isn't the best option for you, your Osteopath will discuss this with you.
Dependant on the diagnosis, exercises may be given post treatment to aid your recovery. Further tips/advice to minimise factors contributing to your discomfort may also be appropriate.
